Presented in the Allen Theatre, ACT’s arena, the challenges were to recreate a proscenium stage in the round for this retelling.  Directed by Jeff Steitzer, we chose to create an architectural proscenium (broken away for viewing purposes), footlights, and a planked floor, a single environment in which all of the scenes were imagined.  Furniture was under covers, per the script, a door tracked in one of the voms, suitcases and trunks became tombstones.
